How do millionaires make millions? How do you make a big business? How do you become internationally known? The main simple, but not easy answer; are you ready? You have to want to learn.
Yeah that’s right, that’s the basic variable. From that raw hunger for knowledge you’ll become unstoppable. If you learn you adapt, you change, you enhance, you practically evolve to a better, smarter you. Yet, there is a fine line between learning and applying. If you just learn and remain in this state it does nothing for you and it means nothing, but if you apply what you have learned then you become wiser, you start the process of a new, improved version of you. “To acquire knowledge, one must study; but to acquire wisdom, one must observe” -Marilyn Vos Savant.
Why does learning do this? Well, when you learn you are able to realize your mistakes more easily. You are able to get to know your strengths, to learn how to grow them, and to live within them. As well, as find and understand your weaknesses, once you know all of this you can relentlessly work to improve.
I have a question for you, who controls the power in the world? The strong, the rich, or the religious? None of them! Everyone will tell you that money gives you power, or that strength does, but power isn’t bought or taken. Power is given by people to people, that’s why the only way to get power is to be smart and cunning. True unadulterated power is earned, you can’t kill a king and expect the love and respect of its followers. This was the main flaw of the roman senators that killed Julius Caesar, they underestimated the power of common people and the common people loved Caesar, and after his death Rome turned against the senators. So what does intelligence or knowledge and wisdom have to do with power? well it has everything to do with power. You have to be smart to know what people want, how to outwit your opponent and how to choose your enemies wisely. Lastly, you need to know how to govern the people correctly, if not the people won’t give you the power to govern.
“Conquering the world in horseback is easy; it is dismounting and governing that is hard” -Genghis Khan
